A Tenant of SEZ Lotus to Invest 5 Billion Rubles in the Development of Fish Feed Production
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Astrakhan Region and Rybniye Korma JSC. The company, which launched a modern aquaculture feed plant on the territory of the SEZ in Astrakhan two years ago, plans to invest approximately 5 billion rubles in the further development of its production facilities.
The agreement was signed by Igor Babushkin, the Governor of the Astrakhan Region, and Vladislav Ponamarenko, General Director of Rybniye Korma JSC.
The majority of the investment will be allocated to the large-scale modernization of the existing plant and its associated infrastructure. In particular, the funds will be used for the technical upgrading of production facilities and the construction of a new state-of-the-art warehouse.
In addition, the tenant plans to establish a closed-cycle system in the Astrakhan Region, which will include industrial processing, raw material cultivation, and finished product manufacturing.
The implementation of the project will help create new jobs, while specialized agricultural classes are planned to be launched in the Narimanovsky District. The training of young specialists will become part of the regional project Personnel for the Agro-Industrial Complex, which is included in the national project Technological Support for Food Security.
As of today, the first phase of the Rybniye Korma JSC plant, designed to produce 25 thousand tonnes of feed for industrial aquaculture, has been put into operation. The company is among Russia's leading manufacturers in terms of the quality and technological sophistication of its products.
The company's sales geography has expanded significantly – the company's products from the Astrakhan Region have now gained recognition in the Leningrad Region, the Murmansk Region, the Republic of Karelia, the Krasnodar Region, Ossetia, and other regions of Russia. The company plans to enter the CIS markets in the future. The total investment in the project has reached 3.73 billion rubles. The plant currently employs 177 specialists.
