Representatives of the company shared practical knowledge about fish feed, efficient fish farming, and the prevention and treatment of diseases of sturgeon. The event was attended by representatives of the region’s aquaculture industry, including sturgeon farming enterprises, government authorities, and the scientific community.
Sergey Yeskov, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Astrakhan Region, addressed the seminar participants with a welcoming speech.
According to the data presented at the event, around 70 enterprises in the Astrakhan Region are engaged in commercial sturgeon farming, providing almost 50% of Russia’s total production. As a result of 2025, the region grew 3200 tonnes of commercially farmed sturgeon.
“The Astrakhan Region is our home region: around half of the country’s sturgeon is farmed here. Therefore, it is particularly important for us to be close to the farms and jointly find solutions for the development of the industry,” commented Anton Kuzov, Director of Research and Development of Rybniye Korma JSC.
For many years, dependence on supplies of feed from abroad remained a vulnerable point for the domestic aquaculture industry. The launch of the plant of Rybniye Korma JSC in SEZ Lotus has allowed to reduce imports of products and meet the needs of local farmers for high-quality feed for sturgeon, with logistics cost savings.
