“Federal Practice”: Rostov-on-Don Hosts Discussions on How the State Can Assist Business
A two-day off-site internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation under the program “Federal Practice” took place in the Rostov Region. It continues a series of off-site training activities for representatives of regional executive authorities in industry and the business community. More than 400 participants from 14 regions took part in the event. The Astrakhan Region was represented by Vitaly Shchepin, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy of the region, and Igor Porublev, Deputy Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC.
During the internship, the participants got acquainted with the state support measures being implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the federal Industrial Development Fund, the Agency for Technological Development, and the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and SEZ of Russia. These include national projects aimed at achieving technological leadership, the implementation of regional industrial policies, and the development of industrial infrastructure, as well as the advancement in machine tool manufacturing, radio electronics, unmanned systems, robotics, metallurgy, light industry, and chemical industry.
– The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is continuously working to develop cooperation between enterprises from our historical regions and manufacturers from other territorial entities of Russia. There are already good results, including due to the “Industrial Cooperation Exchange” organized during the off-site internship in the Rostov Region. This time, participants held more than 350 joint negotiations, and 14 agreements on the development of cooperation links have already been signed. Such practice will definitely continue, – said Ivan Kulikov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
One of the topics discussed by the internship participants was the national project “Personnel”. Additionally, the best practices for implementing industrial potential development plans presented by regional teams were introduced during the event.
– Hosting such practices is an indicator of the state’s interest in developing industrial clusters and business cooperations. In the Astrakhan Region, there are plans to create an industrial shipbuilding cluster that will involve various enterprises, including tenants of Special Economic Zone Lotus. State support measures play a significant role here – it will not only strengthen economies of the country and our region, but also create additional jobs and associated infrastructure, – commented Igor Porublev, Deputy Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC.
