Gas Generator Production to Be Established in SEZ Lotus
Volga Plant of Gas Generators Co, Ltd has received a certificate of registration as a tenant of Special Economic Zone Lotus. The company’s core activity will be the production of gas-fired reciprocating power generators and energy complexes based on industrial gas engines. The volume of investment in the project will be 262 million rubles.
A key advantage of the equipment to be manufactured will be its ability to operate using various gas types, including natural gas, landfill gas, biogas, and coalbed methane. The generator capacity will range from 350 kW to 25 MW. Such generators, with their high efficiency, will ensure a low level of emissions.
In order to ensure technological independence and financial sustainability of the project, the Chinese company Xiangyang Puchuan LLC plans to join the list of founders of Volga Plant of Gas Generators Co, Ltd.
– Gas equipment manufacturing is a promising sector that will provide the region with reliable investment and new jobs. The Astrakhan Region is one of the largest gas suppliers in Russia. Application of the technology for converting natural resources into additional electrical and thermal energy will become an opportunity to produce reliable equipment capable of meeting demand across many areas of life in our country – from industrial production to household needs. In addition, Chinese investors intend to join the project. This gives the project the international status, – commented Alexander Kim, Director General of the Management Company of the Caspian Cluster of SEZs.
