Polyethylene Pipes of Wide Range of Applications to Be Produced in SEZ Lotus

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has included Astrakhan Pipe Plant LLC in the list of tenants of Special Economic Zone Lotus. The investor plans to establish a modern production facility in the Astrakhan Region to manufacture polyethylene pipes with diameters ranging from 20 to 630 mm.

Such products are used in water supply systems, drainage, pressure sewerage, as well as for the most significant infrastructure facilities such as gas transmission, and meet international quality standards. The volume of investment in the project will exceed 184 million rubles.

“Establishing the new production facility will help create additional jobs for the region. Thus, the investor plans to employ about 50 people in his company. I would like to remind you that, overall, the projects being implemented by tenants of SEZ Lotus are expected to create more than 1200 jobs,” noted Alexander Kim, Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC.

As part of cooperation with the investor, specialists of the Management Company of the Caspian Cluster selected a suitable site for locating the production facility on the territory of the special economic zone and also assisted in developing the financial model and the passport of the project required to obtain the status of a SEZ tenant.
